Fine Moro Kris Sword Damascus Blade - 7501

As good as it can get - this Moro Kris sword is a fine representative of its family of swords from the mid 20 C. vintage, 1940 or so. A fine waving blade forged from a pattern welded ( Damascus) steel core forge welded between high carbon steel edges. 23 inches long, deadly sharp and elegantly shaped. The wood handle is entirely covered with silver strips and braided silver wire bands, ending with a huge ivory pommel, very finely carved. Wood scabbard bound with rattan fibers and decorated with engraved and painted Mother of Pearl (MOP) plaques. Next to excellent condition with the exception of minor damages and very few later repaired MOP pieces. |
