From our private collection we offer here for sale a heavy and unusual Qama sword, early type, Georgia. The wide blade, more than 2 inches wide, is 15 ½ inches long, with a central double fuller and very clearly marked with the maker stamp. The massive handle is cut and carved from horn, and riveted to the tang with steel rivets and silver decorated steel bosses. Wood scabbard with big steel mouth piece and tip, richly decorated with silver koftgari work. Good condition. Leather cover of the scabbard is slightly worn.
