Up for sale is this fine Indo-Persian battle axe, highly decorated so as to be used also as a ceremonial piece. Very good steel blade, 8 ½ inches long, 5 inches high, finely chiseled with floral decorative design. The other side of the blade is shaped like a mythical monster, also very finely chiseled. All the chiseling work was decorated with inlaid gold koftgari decoration. The haft is steel, 26 inches long, ending with a 4 inches spike at the top. Very good condition. A high quality piece.
