Up for sale is this very fine Indo-Persian battle axe, highly decorated so as to be used also as a ceremonial piece. Very good steel blade, 10 inches long, 5 inches high, finely chiseled with Arabic inscriptions. The other side of the blade is shaped like a mythical monster, also very finely chiseled. All the chiseling work was decorated with inlaid gold which is now worn. The haft is steel, 30 inches long. Very good condition. A fine high quality piece.
