We offer for sale this 19 C. Ottoman / Balkan (probably Albanian) Jambiya dagger, with fine 9 ½ inches blade forged from good Wootz (Damascus) steel. Long handle cut entirely from a single piece of walrus ivory with extended pommel and cross guard corners, attributed to Albania. Wood scabbard covered with the colored fabric and fitted with steel locket and chape inlaid with silver. Total length 18 ½ inches (in scabbard). Good condition. Minor pitted spots o the blade. The scabbard is later and looks of Syrian / Iraqi origin. Very Low Price.
