Up for sale is this very fine Turkish dagger, early 19 C. or earlier. Straight double edge blade, 14 ½ inches long. 1 /34 inches wide with central fullers, forged from pattern welded (Damascus) steel core welded between laminated steel edges. It is decorated with silver / gold koftgari inlay decoration. Silver, I shaped hilt in a classical form and silver scabbard, both engraved in small scales pattern and with engraved inscription on the scabbard mouth. Very good condition. Total length ( in scabbard) 22 inches. Minor forging flaws. Minor dentd on the scabbard with open edge of less than 1 inch.
