A classical example of late18th Early 19th C. Persian Jambiya. The 8 ¾ inches curved blade is beautifully forged with a central rib and reinforced edges from light contrast Persian wootz (Damascus) steel. The hilt is a solid polished piece of walrus Ivory. Classical ‘I’ shape. Total length 13 ½ inches. Good condition. The grip has a nice age patina. There are some blacken spots and shallow pitted spots on the blade.
