This is a 18 Century Armor piercing Katar push dagger. There are not many mail shirts that will stand the massive blade tip driven through its rings. It is diamond shaped thicker than 9/16 inches (more than14 mm) at its thickest point. The blade is 8 ½ inches long, forged from Indian wootz (crystalline Damascus)and beautifully chiseled. The three cross bars provide the holding and the 9 inches side bars will protect the fist from a side sword hit. Good condition, some pitted areas on the side bars but still a very impressive piece. Very low price for its age and beauty.
