The Barongs heavy leaf shaped blades are known to have superior cutting abilities. This one is a good old Moro Barong, with a 14 ½ inches blade forged from fine pattern welded (Damascus) steel. The hilt is carved from a beautiful grained wood in a very classical form, bound to the blade tang with silver collar. The scabbard is dark wood lightly carved at its ends and bound with two Rattan bands. Total length (In scabbard) 24 ½ inches. Very good condition. Good blade with few forging flaws and the grip has minor hairline age cracks but holds very solid. The tip of the scabbard top is broken. A very impressive piece.
