Up for sale is this wooden club from the New Hebrides - A lethal weapon in the experienced hand. 4 X 2 ? inches bulbous head. 40 inches long haft with disk shape tip just below a flanged part with 12 wooden blades. All carved from a beautiful dark brown hardwood. A very similar club is sketched in the book Weapons and Implements Of Savages Races by L.A.D. Montague fig. 59 p. 105, originally printed in 1921. Very good condition. Minor chips of the flanged blades.
