Here we offer quite an interesting Pedang sword which blade is inlaid with Arabic inscription in brass (?) on the entire length of the blade on both sides. The inscription say ALLAH AKBAR (Allah Great) and it is also dated to 1879. Blade length 23 ½ inches. Horn hilt and wood scabbard painted black and bound with braided rattan bands. We are not sure about the age of this sword. The workmanship and the poor Arabic script may indicate a much later date than shown on the blade. Interesting item in any case and at a very low price.
