A small but very good Sewar knife / Dagger (also some times called Bade-Bade) from Sumatra: 7 inches down curving thick blade with 5 inches back edge. Wood grip carved with a styled bird head pommel. . Wood scabbard carved from dark grained wood.. Total length (in scabbard) 12 ½ inches. This dagger comes from an old private collection and marked D 217 on an old sticker on the scabbard. Very good condition, good age patina with very minor pitted spots on the blade.
