Heavy and Massive Ceremonial Tulwar Sword - 7109

his is a Giant Tulwar: 27 inches blade length, almost 4 inches wide, with a 9 inches back edge, chiseled with eight decorative panel with flowers, inscriptions, human figures all inlaid with copper and brass wires and set with a big brass human figure. Big all steel handle. Heavy piece but made from good steel. These type of swords appeared in the Indian arsenal tword the end of the 19 C. and were made to attract western collectors looking for wonders from the east. Yet it is NOT a tourist item and show good workmanship and quality. A very interesting addition to Indian weaponry collection.
