We offer for sale this beautiful piece of tribal art from the Naga people of the Hills of East India / Burma. This is a Dao axe / Sword used by the Naga with its sheath and belt. The axe blade is 9 inches long, 3 inches wide, with a single beveled edge. The wood haft is bound with braided rattan and decorated with black red and orange hair tufts. The scabbard is made of wood, thick fabric and rattan binding strips and decorated with orange dyed hair tufts. Good condition. The belt is very slightly loose.
