Up for sale is this real, authentic and beautiful Jambiya dagger from Yemen. The blade is 9 ½ inches long, more than 3 inches wide, curved and double edge with a central rib. The grip is Rhino horn with a clear fibrous structure set with silver nails and gilded brass imitation coins in a decorative design. The scabbard is wood, covered with red velvet fabric and mounted with very big pierced silver chape decorated with black enamel and heavily set with gilded floral pattern and Arabic inscription. . Total length (in scabbard) 15 inches. Very Good condition. A very good piece from the early 20 C. The real thing! NOT a tourist trap like so many being offered on the market.
