This is a very unusual Takouba sword, with a very wide blade, 29 inches long, 3 ½ inches wide at the top. The handle is steel with engraved brass covers on the lower grip and the cross guard. Tooled leather scabbard with brass mounts. Partially torn baldric suspension rope. The blade does not goe all the way into the scabbard on purpose, and about 4 inches are left out, with a specially made brass stopper welded to the blade. Total length 39 inches. Good condition. Few forging faults on the blade and slightly worn scabbard.
