This Billao dagger is late 19 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 9 ½ inches long. The handle is made of two sections of ivory separated by layers of brass and black horn. The pommel is of a typical pronged shape made of silver. No scabbard. Very good condition.
