Whole Steel Jambiys, Persia, Qajar Period - 5684


A whole steel Jambiya of good quality and good workmanship from the late Qajar period in Persia, 2nd half of the 19th century. The blade is curved, double reinforced edge with central rib, 10 ½ inches long. The blade base is chiseled with typical hunting scene on both blade faces. The “I” shaped grip as well as the steel scabbard are chiseled with floral design, human faces and birds. Good plus condition, only minor pitted spots on the blade and few small dents to the grip steel.
