This is a very rare shield from Nepal. The steel disk is 12 inches in diameter mounted with steel dome in the center and decorated with engraved brass circles. The two handles one in a blade and one in a ring shape are attached to the steel disk with steel rivets. This is a very unusual authentic piece dated to the early 20 C. in a very good condition. The front face of the shield are painted black in a beautiful contrast to the brass rings.
